Austrian Demo Night 2026: Bringing Austrian Innovation to Silicon Valley

As part of San Francisco Tech Week 2026, OPEN AUSTRIA hosted its annual Austrian Demo Night on October 14 at SAP in San Francisco, bringing together more than 140 founders, investors, mentors, and members of the Austrian and international tech community.

The event was a highlight of OPEN AUSTRIA’s GoUSA Silicon Valley 2026 program, which supports Austrian startups in exploring opportunities in the U.S. market. Through hands-on workshops, individual mentoring, expert coaching, and access to Silicon Valley's extensive network of investors and industry leaders, the program helps participating companies better understand the American business landscape and prepare for international expansion.

At Austrian Demo Night, 16 participating startups had the opportunity to showcase their innovations through three-minute pitches, introducing their technologies and business ideas to an international audience. The evening also provided valuable opportunities for networking, exchanging ideas, and establishing connections within the Silicon Valley ecosystem.

Taking place during SF Tech Week, one of the region's major gatherings of founders, investors, and technology enthusiasts, Austrian Demo Night offered additional visibility for Austria's startup ecosystem and highlighted the growing connections between Austrian innovation and Silicon Valley.

With strong attendance and an engaged audience, the event once again demonstrated the importance of international collaboration and initiatives such as GoUSA in helping Austrian startups build relationships and explore new markets.
