For this year’s AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition high-level Austrian representatives from government, public administration, the defense sector, and industry came to Washington, D.C., to strengthen existing partnerships and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

On this occasion, Ambassador Schneebauer hosted a networking dinner at the Austrian Embassy. In her welcoming remarks, she emphasized the strong partnership between Austria and the United States, including the State Partnership with the State of Vermont. Co-organized with ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Washington D.C., the event brought together 28 high-level representatives from 19 organizations. The evening provided a platform for professional exchange, networking, and the development of new connections. The event was organized as part of the initiative ReFocus Austria, highlighting the ongoing commitment to promoting Austrian businesses abroad and strengthening their international presence.

The AUSA 2026 Annual Meeting & Exposition and its supporting program gave Austrian companies opportunities to learn about current developments in the defense sector, explore potential business partnerships and identify market entry opportunities along the supply chain. The participation of government representatives allowed for further discussions on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring future cooperation in strategically important sectors.

The various encounters and exchanges underscored the great potential for further strengthening Austrian-American economic ties. Austrian participants concluded the program with new contacts, valuable insights, and promising opportunities for cooperation. We look forward to building on these discussions and further strengthening bilateral cooperation through future engagements, including next year’s AUSA.
